HEY KERI! Good grief it seems so long that I have sent you a note… What a terrible stepmom Life has been CRAZY WILD here at the Tigerosa. We are all so excited to see you in June. And when Kevin said that you would be joining us on the trip down to San Diego, that’s fabulous! Still trying to make it all work out until then. Your dad and I have been re-roofing the Peppertree house to get it ready for closing on or before 4/15. The sale will really help out the financial crunch we have been feeling lately (for the last 6 months…at least). Can you believe we just had our 2nd anniversary?? Seems like yesterday we had the backyard packed with well-wishers, family and friends for that GREAT party.
Anyway, just wanted to let you know Kevin and I recommended your site/colorsong to a new business in Black Mountain. Kevin, Erin and I were at Montreat for a youth conference and happened into this shop saturday afternoon.

Really nice ladies (can’t remember their names) but they were very interested in what you do, Colorsong, and getting on your mailing list for your products. They are also involved in an Asheville area cooperative (Fabric Fiber Bead Trail http://www.ffbtrail.com) that might be a great group of contacts that would love to see your products. I’ve sent your name and contact info to the woman at Nice Threads. Hopefully she’ll send some business your way.
Well, that’s all for now. I’m working on painting a 10′ mural for a children’s play at the church next month, and this week is the only time I have to work on it. We love you, and will see you in June. Love Sandee

Thanks! I tend to throw caution to the wind, as well, but this yarn was just too luxurious (as in, spendy) to waste even a smidgen.

hmm…i’m not sure how bulky yarn would work. you could use it like a thrum, but it will probably come untwisted, which might actually be a good thing!, depending on the yarn. i think it’s worth it to try; i’d suggest a 100% wool yarn for the thrums.

the 12 repeats does include the first two – so there should be 14 total repeats when the warmers are complete. so, 2 w/out increases, 10 w/ increases, and 2 more w/out. hope this helps. and i would love to see your finished project!

Hi- making my daughter these for Christmas, and enjoying the knitting-
I have a question- when you say after twelve repeats, does that include the first two groups, then ten more with increases, or twelve with increases? Slouchy is probably better than tight for legwarmers…. She’s about 5’4″
